This summer we ran a series of impact workshops bringing together academics and cultural practitioners to explore cultural engagement and quality – and how we can measure it meaningfully. We’ve just posted up the final report on the project over on our workshops site. It’s got all the information about what happened and who took part, but also, more interestingly, the themes that emerged from discussions, and some of the recommendations we came up with.
About us
Impacts 08 is a joint research initiative of the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University, evaluating the social, cultural, economic and environmental effects of Liverpool’s hosting the European Capital of Culture title in 2008. We're developing a research model for evaluating the impacts of culture-led regeneration programmes that can be applied to events across the UK and internationally.
